10-Year-Old South Texas Boy Allegedly Confesses to 2022 Killing
A 10-year-old Texan boy confessed to killing a man in 2022, but cannot be charged due to his age. He's now facing charges for threatening a classmate.
A 10-year-old boy from South Texas has confessed to a murder that occurred in 2022. The child, whose identity has not been revealed, admitted to shooting and killing 32-year-old Brandon O'Quinn Rasberry in Nixon, Texas. The disturbing revelation came to light as the boy was being questioned for allegedly making threats to kill a classmate.
The child disclosed chilling details of the crime, stating that he took a pistol from his grandfather's truck, entered Rasberry's RV and fatally shot him once. He emphasized that he had no prior interaction with Rasberry and had never met him before the incident.
Investigation and Legal Implications
Investigators managed to locate the murder weapon at a pawn shop and confirmed that it was used in the homicide. However, due to the perpetrator's age at the time of the crime, he cannot be charged under Texas state law. Jonathan Fojtik, the brother of the victim, expressed disbelief at the revelation, describing the murder as senseless and tragic. He fondly remembered Rasberry as a loving individual who was always willing to help others.
Although the 10-year-old cannot be prosecuted for the 2022 murder, he has been charged in connection with the recent threat made against a classmate. Presently, he remains in juvenile detention awaiting a court date.
