American Teen Found Safe After Disembarking from Cruise Ship in German Port

Aydin Brown, a 14-year-old American boy, left a cruise ship in Germany but was found safe after a regional search.

After more than three days missing, a 14-year-old American boy who had walked away from the Caribbean Princess cruise ship during its scheduled stop at a German port has been found safe, according to his grandmother’s statement on Saturday.

Disappearance and Search Efforts

Aydin Brown, who had been on the cruise with his grandmother, left the ship after it docked at Rostock-Warnemünde on Thursday morning. State and local police continued their search efforts, distributing three new photos of the teenager. The regional search also involved capturing security footage, which included an unknown man seemingly interacting with Brown.

Reunion and Gratitude

After the teenager was found, Princess Cruises expressed their relief and gratitude towards the German authorities for their swift response and exceptional efforts in locating Aydin. The company confirmed that Brown has been reunited with his family, highlighting their ongoing on-site support to the family during this challenging time.

The 12-day journey across the Baltic Sea, which included destinations such as Copenhagen, Denmark, and Stockholm, Sweden, began in Southampton, England, on June 30, and was scheduled to return on July 12, according to the cruise ship tracking site CruiseMapper.
