Anti-Israel Protester Disrupts DNC Event in Chicago, Blames Administration for Gaza Deaths

On Sunday night, a masked protester stormed the stage of the Democratic National Convention welcome party at Navy Pier in Chicago, accusing the Harris-Biden administration of funding a "genocide" in Gaza. The protests were not limited to the welcome party, as the Coalition to March on the DNC organized a march against the Israel-Hamas war from Chicago's Union Park on Monday afternoon. Additionally, multiple publicly announced rallies were scheduled to take place in the days leading up to the convention's final ceremonies on Thursday. The March For Bodies Against Unjust Laws, for instance, attracted hundreds of protesters who marched down Michigan Ave. to Grant Park. The United States Palestinian Community Network also hosted a demonstration in Union Park, further punctuating the diversity of protests taking place in the city.
