AT&T Cable Deliberately Slashed Causing Major Flight Delays at Sacramento International Airport
Flight delays at Sacramento International Airport were caused by an intentionally cut AT&T cable, disrupting internet service for major airlines.

On Thursday, April 18, Sacramento International Airport was thrown into chaos as a deliberate act of sabotage disrupted flight operations, causing major delays for several airlines. This deliberate act involved the slashing of an AT&T cable, which resulted in the loss of internet service for at least two major airlines operating out of the airport. The disruption occurred just before 1:20 a.m., bringing check-in services to a temporary halt, particularly impacting Southwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines.
Impact on Passengers
Passengers at the Southwest terminal were significantly inconvenienced as they faced long lines and delays due to the lack of internet service. It wasn't until Thursday afternoon that normal operations resumed after the restoration of internet service.
The airport spokesman, Scott Johnston, confirmed that a service team determined the intentional nature of the cable cutting, which occurred approximately 2.5 miles from the airport. Meanwhile, AT&T reported that they had successfully restored internet and wireless service to the affected customers.
