Autumn Crittendon, 16 and Pregnant Star, Dies from Fentanyl and Para/meta-fluorofentanyl Toxicity at 27

In a heartbreaking development, the cause of death of Autumn Crittendon, a former star of the MTV reality show 16 and Pregnant, has been confirmed three months after her untimely demise at the age of 27. The Virginia Department of Health's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has reported that the manner of death was an accident, and the cause was determined to be toxicity from fentanyl and para/meta-fluorofentanyl.

Star Autumn Crittendon's cause of death revealed

The investigation into Crittendon's passing, who was also known as Autumn Oxley, commenced on July 20 when police and fire responders responded to a medical emergency at a residence on Chinkapin Court in Sandston, Virginia. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive adult female, later identified as Autumn Oxley. Despite the efforts of Henrico Fire personnel to administer life-saving measures, they were unfortunately unsuccessful. Crittendon was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Autumn Crittendon rose to prominence as a participant in the fifth season of the MTV reality show, which first aired in 2009. She was a mother to three children at the time of her passing. The news of her death sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, prompting MTV’s Teen Mom franchise to issue a heartfelt statement on X, expressing their sorrow and extending condolences to her family and friends.

Furthermore, Crittendon's mother-in-law, Tiffany Oxley, shared her grief on Facebook, paying tribute to the young mother, stating, “I miss you. God has gained another angel way too soon. I love you.” Crittendon’s sister, Misty, also shared a touching childhood photo of the two siblings and added hashtags "#JusticeforAutumn" and "#CrittendonStrong" to honor her sister's memory.
