Border Patrol Agent Charged for Coercing Women to Show Breasts During US Entry Process
A U.S. Border Patrol agent was charged with demanding women expose their breasts during immigration processing, violating their constitutional rights.

An agent of the U.S. Border Patrol, Shane Millan, 53, is facing serious legal trouble after federal authorities accused him of making inappropriate demands from women during the admissions process to enter the country, as reported by the Northern District of New York.
Charges and Accusations
MILLAN has been charged with four misdemeanor counts of deprivation of rights under color of law, which means he deliberately violated the constitutional rights of four different women by subjecting them to unreasonable searches, as stated by federal prosecutors.
Millass to the allegations, during the virtual processing of these women's admission into the United States, he instructed three of them to "expose their bare chests" to him over webcam and told the fourth to unveil her breasts while still wearing her bra. Millan allegedly made these demands "for his own gratification," deceiving the women by claiming he was conducting legitimate searches, as outlined by the federal prosecutors. This kind of behavior not only violates the trust placed in border agents but also constitutes a severe abuse of power and a gross violation of the women's rights.
Legal Proceedings and Employment Status
After being arraigned in Syracuse on a Thursday, MILLAN was released pending trial. Efforts made by USA TODAY to contact Millan's defense attorney and the Border Patrol for comments on his employment status have reportedly gone unanswered.
This incident sheds light on the need for stringent oversight and accountability measures within law enforcement agencies, particularly at border control points, in order to maintain the integrity of the admissions process and protect the rights of individuals seeking entry into the United States.
