Prince George's County authorities reported a major development in the case of the fatal shooting of a 2-year-old toddler outside a Maryland apartment complex.
Two suspects, Israel Fuentes Jr., 33, and Johnny Alejandro Turcios, 28, both residents of Lewisdale, have been arrested and charged in connection with the tragic death of Jeremy Poou-Caceres.

Details of the Shooting
The shooting occurred at approximately 5:35 p.m. near the Bedford Station Apartments in Langley Park.
The suspects, allegedly accompanied by at least two others, emerged from a carjacked gold SUV and opened fire on a group, resulting in the tragic incident. Both Jeremy and his mother were struck by stray bullets while walking in the vicinity.
While the mother survived the shooting with non-life-threatening injuries, Jeremy tragically succumbed to his wounds.
Charges and Ongoing Investigation
Fuentes and Turcios have been charged with first-degree murder and are currently in custody at the county jail.
Authorities are also seeking additional suspects believed to have been involved in the shooting, emphasizing that the investigation is ongoing.
Assistant Police Chief Hale conveyed that the pursuit of the remaining suspects is a top priority, stating, "Again, we're not done yet. We made two arrests, but there's two more out there… These are the cases we lose sleep over."
