Authorities in Belgium have reported the death of a clergy member from the United Kingdom following a night involving sexual activity and drug use with a Belgian priest. The tragic incident occurred at a clergy house in Kalmthout, situated north of Antwerp on a Thursday night, leading to the arrest of the Belgian priest on drug-related charges.
Details of the Incident
The 69-year-old British clergyman's identity has not been disclosed. Reports indicate that he spent Thursday evening in the company of a 60-year-old fellow cleric. However, things took a turn when the British cleric fell ill, prompting the Belgian priest to contact emergency services shortly after midnight. Unfortunately, attempts to resuscitate the clergyman were unsuccessful.
Substance Involvement
The prosecutor's office revealed that both individuals had reportedly consumed ecstasy and poppers, in addition to engaging in sexual activities. Furthermore, two ecstasy pills were discovered at the scene of the incident. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is currently underway, with an autopsy failing to provide immediate conclusive information regarding the cause of death.

The Belgian priest, who was present during the incident, has been questioned by the investigating judge and subsequently placed under arrest.
