California Man Accused of Sexual Assault along Highway 39 in Police Custody

Illegal immigrant Eduardo Sarabia accused of assaulting women near Highway 39 in California taken into custody, facing charges. 

Authorities in southern California have apprehended a reported illegal immigrant accused of sexually assaulting two women along Highway 39 in the Angeles National Forest. The suspect, identified as Eduardo Sarabia, aged 40, is facing two felony counts of forcible rape and forcible oral copulation following the alleged incidents on Sunday and Monday of this week.

Investigation Underway

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department's Special Victims Bureau is actively investigating the two separate sexual assault cases involving female victims who were reportedly attacked by Sarabia. In light of the nature of the allegations, detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims. As a result, the department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying any such victims.

Suspect Profile

Sarabia, described as an illegal immigrant and transient from Mexico, is reportedly being held without bail and is set to make a court appearance on June 27. Authorities have released images of a windowless Ford Transit van that Sarabia is alleged to have been driving, in connection with the incidents. He is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
