Car and Truck Collision Injures Crew Members on Set of Eddie Murphy Film
During filming of "The Pickup," crew members were injured in a car and truck collision on set outside Atlanta.

On Saturday, a tragic accident occurred during the shooting of the movie "The Pickup" from Amazon MGM Studios in Georgia. The incident resulted in several crew members being injured, with two of them having to be hospitalized. The studio has reported that the injuries ranged from minor bumps and bruises to broken bones.
Production Details
It was revealed that neither the film's lead actor, Eddie Murphy, nor the other stars such as Keke Palmer and Pete Davidson were present at the scene at the time of the accident. The mishap took place during a scene being filmed by the second unit, which is responsible for shooting less-central scenes not involving the director or principal actors.
Statement from the Studio
The studio spokesperson stated that the sequence leading to the accident had been rehearsed, and all necessary safety precautions had been implemented. Despite this, the incident occurred when a truck malfunctioned, causing it to collide with a car, resulting in the crew members' injuries.
Recovery and Inquiry
As of Tuesday, one crew member remained hospitalized, while the rest were expected to make a full recovery. The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, the union representing most film crew members, has initiated an inquiry into the accident but could not provide further details at the moment.
Movie Production
The film, directed by Tim Story, has been shooting in and around Atlanta since February 20th. Despite the unfortunate incident, the production is not anticipated to be delayed, and a release date for the movie has not yet been announced.
