
Car Bombs Target French Synagogue in La Grande Motte: Act of Terrorism Confirmed
Two parked vehicles exploded outside a synagogue in France, deemed a terrorist act; five people inside, one officer injured.

On a Saturday morning, La Grande Motte, a resort town on the southern coast of France, was struck by a violent incident that has now been classified as an act of terrorism by prosecutors. The tranquility of the area was shattered when two vehicles parked outside the Ben Yacoov synagogue erupted in explosions, with the doors of the synagogue also being set on fire.
Details of the Attack
The explosions occurred around 8 a.m., coinciding with the time when worshipers would typically be making their way to the synagogue. At the moment of the attack, five individuals, including the rabbi, were inside the synagogue. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. However, one police officer who was responding to the explosions suffered injuries when a gas bottle inside one of the vehicles detonated, as per a statement from the antiterrorism unit in the prosecutor's office.
