Apostle Apollo Carreon Quiboloy, 74, the founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, is a charismatic doomsday evangelist who claims millions of followers across 200 countries, with a significant number in the Philippines. Known for his extravagant white suits and surrounded by women in similar attire, Quiboloy exerts a powerful influence over his followers.

International Influence and Controversy

His sermons have attracted devotees in various countries including Ukraine, Hong Kong, Brazil, and New York. Notably, he served as a spiritual adviser to former Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte. However, his popularity has been marred by serious allegations.

Quiboloy's evasion of law enforcement efforts led to a manhunt in the southern Philippines, engaging thousands of security personnel. The interior secretary of the Philippines reported the capture of the fugitive preacher, with his lawyer stating that Quiboloy voluntarily surrendered. Security sources claim that negotiations conducted with the preacher's compound facilitated the surrender process.

Quiboloy is on the FBI's most-wanted list, facing allegations of orchestrating a human trafficking and child sex abuse ring, along with accusations of rape, including of minors. In response to the charges, Quiboloy, through his legal representatives, has categorically denied any wrongdoing.
