Critical Firefighter Injuries in California Fire Truck Rollover Crash and Fatal Mid-Air Collision

A tragic incident unfolded near Los Angeles, California, on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the death of a pilot and serious injury to another individual.
Pilot killed in mid-air collision
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that a Yakovlev Yak 52 aircraft collided with a Nanchang CJ-6A around midday near Lancaster, approximately 1.5 hours north of downtown Los Angeles.
One of the planes went down in the vicinity of 47th Street East and Avenue F, while the other landed near 60th Street East and Avenue G, as reported by Sheila Kelliher from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Investigation Launched
Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board are expected to arrive at the scene to gather information regarding the incident. In the meantime, deputies from Lancaster are present to assist with traffic management and road closures.
