Democrats grow concerned about Biden's candidacy
President Biden dismisses concerns from his party's doubters, but Democratic voters have long voiced worries about his age and abilities.

As the Biden administration grapples with internal opposition, President Biden is shrugging off skepticism from various quarters, including editorial boards, wealthy individuals, and the Democratic elite, whom he believes have consistently underestimated him.
However, notably absent from his dismissal are the primary sources of skepticism about his age and capability: the voters. Since his previous presidential campaign five years ago, Democratic voters have expressed worries about his verbal gaffes, outdated references, and hesitant speaking manner. These concerns have persisted and intensified during his time in office, with a significant majority of Democratic voters indicating a desire for a new leader. Despite this, numerous prominent Democratic figures have set aside their private reservations to back his re-election.
