Dr. James Sweetland and wife Lois witnessed a fatal shooting at Trump's rally in Pennsylvania, providing aid to victims.

Dr. James Sweetland and his wife, Lois, appeared on Fox News Channel on Sunday to discuss their experience at President Trump's rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Dr. Sweetland immediately rushed to assist Corey Comperatore, 50, who was shot at the rally and later pronounced dead.

As an emergency department physician, Dr. Sweetland stated, "I just went into muscle memory. I just went down there to help them. When I got to him, I said, 'I'm a doctor. I'm here to help.'" He performed CPR on Comperatore before Pennsylvania State Troopers took the victim away.

Impact on Attendees

Lois Sweetland mentioned how traumatized rally attendees were from the shooting, with some losing control and sobbing due to the trauma they experienced.

The Pennsylvania State Police released the names of the three attendees shot during the attempted assassination. Comperatore was killed, while the other two victims, David Dutch and James Copenhaver, are listed in stable condition.

Tribute and Recognition

Comperatore, a former fire chief for Buffalo Township, was honored by Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who ordered U.S. and state flags to fly at half-staff in his honor. During a press conference, Shapiro called on Americans to come together in prayer for the victims and their families.
