Donald Glover Announces Cancellation of Childish Gambino Tour Due to Health Issues
Donald Glover cancels Childish Gambino tour due to health issues, prioritizing recovery. Refunds will be issued, requesting privacy and support.

On Friday, multi-talented Donald Glover took to social media to announce the cancellation of the remaining Childish Gambino tour dates due to a health issue. Following his performance in New Orleans, Glover revealed he had been hospitalized due to an undisclosed ailment. He expressed, "After being assessed, it became clear I would not perform that night, and after more tests, I could not perform the rest of the US tour in the time asked." He also shared plans for surgery and emphasized the need for time to heal.
Notably, Glover had previously informed his fans about the postponement of the tour to prioritize his physical health. In his recent statement, he refrained from disclosing specific details regarding his health concerns. A spokesperson for Glover did not immediately respond to requests for elaboration.
Impact of the Announcement
Glover acknowledged the difficulty of the decision to cancel the tour dates, which were scheduled across North America, the U.K., and Europe. However, he emphasized the importance of confronting his recovery seriously. In light of the announcement, Glover assured fans that all tickets would be refunded.
This news comes as a disappointment to fans who were eager to see Childish Gambino live after Glover's announcement of a new tour in May. The anticipation grew as Glover, a Grammy-winning artist, introduced the tour following the release of his latest album "Atavista,” a reworked version of his 2020 project “3.15.20.” The tour, named “The New World Tour,” was set to commence in August and followed the release of “Bando Stone & the New World,” Glover's final Childish Gambino album in July.
