Donald Trump's controversial comments take center stage during meeting with House Republicans
Former President Trump met with House Republicans, focusing on his comments about Milwaukee and Taylor Swift's support for President Biden. He also made disputed remarks about Nancy Pelosi's daughter.

During a meeting with House Republicans in Washington on Thursday, June 13, former President Donald J. Trump sparked controversy with contentious comments that left many people in disagreement.
Mr. Trump’s return to Capitol Hill sought to rally congressional Republicans behind him, marking a significant moment more than three years after a violent attempt by his supporters to keep him in the White House. However, instead of unifying support, much of the focus shifted to a few remarks he made during the meeting.
Targeting Taylor Swift and Nancy Pelosi
According to sources present at the meeting, Mr. Trump expressed dissatisfaction over pop music sensation Taylor Swift's potential support for President Biden. He previously advocated for Swift’s endorsement but claimed that she should support him instead. Additionally, he made a false claim regarding a comment allegedly made by former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s daughter. Some lawmakers interpreted the comment as referring to a romantic connection, while others viewed it as a professional partnership. However, one of Ms. Pelosi’s daughters refuted the reported remark on social media, labeling it as a falsehood.
