Elderly man arrested for allegedly killing wife with hammer at Georgia retirement community

An 81-year-old man, Richard Hayden, was arrested for the alleged murder of his wife, Grace Hayden, in their Lawrenceville retirement community. Richard Hayden was taken into custody on charges of felony murder, malice murder, and aggravated assault. According to the criminal arrest warrant obtained by Fox 5 Atlanta, the incident occurred at the Lindwood Estates Gracious Retirement Living, where the couple resided. It was also revealed that Hayden was being treated at a nearby hospital for reasons unrelated to the incident prior to his arrest.
