Father Sentenced to 20 Years for Years of Raping Daughter, Offering Her for Sex
A father was sentenced to 20 years for raping his daughter and offering her for sex, paralleling another high-profile abuse case in France.

In a disturbing case that has shocked the southeast region of France, a court in Draguignan has sentenced a father to 20 years in prison for sexually abusing his teenage daughter and offering her to strangers for sexual acts.
French father sentenced for raping his teen daughter
The father, 38, was found guilty of subjecting his daughter, whom he had adopted, to sexual acts from the age of 13. The prosecutor, Estelle Bois, revealed that the father exerted total control over the young girl and even brought her to other men, many of whom were significantly older, whom he contacted through online classified ads.
Comparison with Gisele Pelicot Case
This case draws parallels with the ongoing high-profile trial involving 51 men accused of raping Gisele Pelicot, who was drugged by her husband to facilitate the abuse. The father's actions in this case mirrored the tactics employed in the Pelicot case, as he directed, participated in, and filmed the sexual acts involving his daughter, who was blindfolded during these encounters. Despite admitting to the accusations, the father claimed that the sexual contact was initiated by his daughter and that they were both consenting adults living out a sexual fantasy. However, the court found this defense unconvincing and imposed the maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, as per the prosecutor's demands.
During the trial, the prosecutor emphasized that the father's actions were not expressions of love but rather manifestations of power and domination. The court also sentenced a second defendant, the only other abuser of the young girl who could be identified, to 16 years in prison. This defendant, a man in his 60s with six children, was identified through the father's photo and video documentation of the abuse, utilizing geolocation data. The second defendant claimed in court that he was misled by the father's assertion that the girl was consenting in three out of four encounters. In the fourth encounter, he acknowledged that things went poorly, but his lawyer argued that instead of acting responsibly, the defendant succumbed to his own desires and turned a blind eye to the abuse.
