A FedEx driver tragically lost his life in a fiery crash on an Illinois interstate. The incident occurred at 2:23 a.m. on Tuesday at mile marker 52.5 on Interstate 294 in Deerfield. According to reports from the Illinois State Police Department and the Northbrook Fire Department, the driver was ejected from the truck after it crashed into the guardrail and burst into flames. The scene was described as harrowing, with the semi-truck engulfed in a blaze and packages scattered across the interstate.
Response and Fatality
Authorities swiftly responded to the scene, where the driver was found to have been violently thrown from the cab. He was rushed to Glenbrook Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
