
First presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden
The first debate between presidential candidates Joe Biden and Donald Trump took place in Atlanta, in which they discussed their proposals for the next presidential election.

With the eye of the world watching, the first presidential debate was held between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, where both candidates are seeking their second term as U.S. presidents. The last time they faced each other face to face was in 2020, where both opponents were seeking the approval of the American people. Today, both candidates spoke about their proposals to solve the problems facing by the United States, one of the most important being migration and the war in the Middle East. The debate was broadcasted on CNN at 9:00 p.m. in Atlanta, Georgia.
Moderated by Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, the first presidential debate lasted 90 minutes, where the candidates found themselves alone and without a studio audience. As part of the rules of the debate, the microphones were closed and only opened for one intervention, in addition to not having any support from their team or visual material to exemplify the debate.
Joe Biden and Donald Trump's speeches on the economy
The first speech was made by Biden, in which he spoke about the U.S. economy, stating that despite the rise in inflation, he managed to increase employment by 15% and rescued what former President Trump had left him, such as the price of housing and food. He took the opportunity to attack his opponent, as he declared that Trump did not "accomplish anything during his administration." But Donald Trump spoke about the difficulties he faced during his administration about economy.
Both candidates spoke about the national debt, Biden stated that he received the worst economy in U.S. history, while Trump stated that various countries celebrated his monetary policy during the adversities that Trump's government presented. During Biden's speeches, it was notorious the president did not finish his sentences.
In addition, Trump stated that due to migrants, black citizens are no longer able to find work, which they pointed to be the cause of current U.S. inflation. In response, Biden affirmed that he received a destroyed economy and has tried to reduce the economic problems of the citizens.
Biden and Trump's intervention on abortion
The first to speak was Donald Trump, who stated that he agrees with the abortion measures being taken by the states, emphasizing that each state makes its own decisions. On the other hand, Joe Biden pointed out that this is an issue between women and the state, since politicians should not make the decision for a woman. In response, Donald Trump stated that Biden is willing to end the life of a baby even at 9 months gestation, to which the president affirmed that it would only be in the event that the woman had health problems.

One of the most sensitive issues was about migration, where Biden affirmed that migration is better than when Trump left the presidency, as he affirmed that he does not separate families. However, the former president stated that the border was more secure during his administration, since he closed it. During this issue both candidates attacked each other with their scandals that have been published. The most talked topic was about veterans, where both stated that they have done what is best for them.

The moderators talked about the war between Russia and Ukraine, where Trump took the opportunity to declare that Putin does not respect the current president of the United States, in addition to the fact that with him, there was no business between the countries. In the face of this, Biden claimed that Trump did nothing during his tenure, as he told them to "do whatever you want," unlike him, who has tried to keep U.S. soldiers alive. The moderator spoke about the creation of an independent Palestinian state to stop the problems in the region but former President Trump has moved on from the subject.
The scandals of Joe Biden and Donald Trump
During the debate, Trump spoke about the position Joe Biden's son is in, where he claimed he has the right to go after him because he is a convicted fellow. In response, Biden argued that Trump has low morals, due to the charges against him.
In addition, they discussed the drug problem facing the United States on the border with Mexico, where Biden stated that he has faced the obstacles Trump imposed to stop his legislation. They talked about each other's health, where Trump noted that he is as healthy as he was 35 years ago and has undergone several tests. On the other hand, Biden affirmed that despite his age he is in good health.
Biden and Trump's solutions to climate issues
Biden noted that he released the longest legislation regarding climate aid so that all universities can do more for the environment. Trump talked about the Paris agreement and how it would be a deception for the United States economy. Speaking about Social Security, Biden claimed that Trump wants to do away with care for seniors. But Trump claimed that veterans have not been taken care of.
To close the debate, both candidates asserted that voting for the other would lead the United States to ruin. Trump stated that if it is fair and legal, he will accept the results. During his last speech, Biden affirmed that he will leave taxes as they are, he also pointed to his opponent as the culprit of inflation in the United States, if he is selected as president, he will continue working to improve the situation of the country. Donald Trump pointed out that the current president has done nothing facing the problems of the country, he recalled all the progress he made during his administration, including what he did to help soldiers.
