Dispute Over Parking Space Leads to Shooting Outside Detroit Blues Club

On the early morning of March 29, a dispute over a parking space outside a blues club in Detroit escalated into a violent incident, leaving five people wounded. According to Assistant Police Chief Charles Fitzgerald, the argument turned physical, and one individual retrieved a gun from a vehicle and shot into a crowd. Fitzgerald condemned the act, labeling the perpetrator as a coward for resorting to such extreme measures.

Gunman Flees the Scene

After firing the shots, the gunman quickly fled the scene, leaving behind seven or eight shell casings in the parking lot. Despite an ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.

Victims and Investigation Update

The victims, aged between 33 and 49, were hospitalized in stable condition following the incident. It was revealed that only one of the wounded individuals was directly involved in the initial fight, while the others were innocent bystanders. Additionally, police are questioning the circumstances that allowed the blues club to remain open for business beyond permitted hours, as it lacks the necessary city permit for extended operations.
