Florida Couple Arrested for Armed Robbery in Cookie Monster Pajamas

A Florida couple, Charlie Perez, 22, and Jalina Sepulveda, 19, was apprehended by the Cape Coral Police Department after attempting an armed robbery at a Lowe's hardware store in Cape Coral while wearing matching Cookie Monster pajamas.

Details of the Incident

The couple tried to leave the store without paying for several items, and when confronted by the store’s loss prevention team, Perez revealed a gun and made threats before fleeing the scene.

Arrest and Charges

After a search, the police were able to locate and arrest the couple. Perez is facing a robbery with a weapon charge, while Sepulveda is facing charges of robbery with a weapon and battery. Both remain in the Lee County Jail without bond.

Previous Encounter with the Law

This is not Sepulveda's first encounter with the law, as she was previously arrested in October 2023 on a battery charge, according to Lee County Jail records.
