A Florida McDonald's employee was arrested after a shooting incident involving customers at the drive-through window. The incident occurred in Lakeland and involved 22-year-old Chassidy Gardner.
Charges and Police Response
Gardner has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as a result of the incident. The Lakeland police responded to the reported shooting at the fast-food restaurant at around 1 a.m.
According to authorities, the shooting followed a verbal dispute between Gardner and a customer who was unhappy with their order at the drive-through window. The altercation escalated when Gardner threw a drink at the customers as they were attempting to leave. Subsequently, a customer reached through the window, knocking items onto the floor.
Armed Confrontation
Following this, two customers exited their vehicle and opened the drive-through window, which led to a confrontation with Gardner. She then armed herself with a handgun. The customers then drove around the building, and Gardner went outside with her gun. It was reported that she fired at the vehicle as it was leaving the parking lot. The vehicle was struck at least once, but fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
