Floyd Collins Musical Revival Headed to Broadway with Bluegrass Score and Director Tina Landau

In a remarkable turn of events, the tragic story of Floyd Collins, the spelunker who became trapped in a Kentucky cave in 1925, is set to be retold on the Broadway stage. The failed rescue attempt that captivated both print and radio audiences over 90 years ago is now being resurrected as a musical sensation.

Lincoln Center Theater, a prominent nonprofit organization with a Broadway venue, has announced that "Floyd Collins" will grace the stage of its Vivian Beaumont Theater next spring. The eagerly anticipated revival, three decades after its original performance, is scheduled for previews starting on March 27 and an official opening night on April 21.
