Former Canandaigua Man Sentenced to 35 Years in Prison for Rape Convictions
Former Canandaigua man, Alexander Kise, sentenced to 35 years in prison for multiple felony convictions including rape charges.

In a recent ruling, Alexander Kise, a former resident of Canandaigua, has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for a series of felony convictions, including rape charges. The convictions, which include two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of third-degree rape, and multiple other charges, were handed down in March. Additionally, Kise will be required to register as a sex offender after serving his sentence.
Judge's Decision and Additional Charges
The Hon. Richard Healy, presiding over the case, delivered the sentence following the recusal of Ontario County Court Judge Brian D. Dennis. It was revealed that Kise is also facing a first-degree attempted murder charge for an alleged plot targeting Judge Dennis, the prosecutor, and the victim involved in his trial. Notably, no court appearances related to the alleged murder-for-hire plot have been scheduled at this time.
Statement from the Prosecution
Ontario County Assistant District Attorney Kelly Wolford expressed appreciation for the bravery of a young woman who stood up to Kise, leading to the sentencing. Wolford emphasized the court’s recognition of the fear and trauma experienced by the victim and her family, underscoring the severity of Kise's actions.
