Alleged Incident Details
The incident took place at the basketball game hosted by Locust Valley in Lattingtown, reported by NBC News. The altercation occurred after 8 p.m. in the stands, supposedly instigated by adults hurling homophobic and misogynistic slurs at students.
Victim's Account
An adult woman, 47, reprimanded the individuals for their behavior, leading to a physical altercation with Kimberly Gotti. She is accused of assaulting the woman, taking her hat, while Gianna allegedly joined in, pulling the woman's hair and boasting about the assault. As a result, the victim suffered facial scratches and scalp injuries.
Legal Proceedings
The Gotti women were arrested and pleaded not guilty to third-degree assault. They spent the night in jail and are scheduled to appear in court on March 6. John Gotti Jr., their family's patriarch, stated that they do not intend to press charges. The Gotti family attorney claimed Kimberly Gotti was the one initially punched and Gianna intervened to assist her. John Gotti Jr. is the son of the notorious mob boss John Gotti, who led the Gambino crime family until his imprisonment. The Nassau County Police have not disclosed further details on the case against the Gotti women. They are due back in court on March 6.
