GloRilla Rapper Charged with Drunk Driving in Georgia; Given Jail Release the Same Day
GloRilla, real name Gloria Woods, was charged with DUI and related offenses in Suwanee, Georgia, after being pulled over for a traffic violation.
The rap artist known as GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Woods, is facing charges of drunken driving in Georgia, as per jail records.
Charges and Arrest
Gloria Woods, 24, from Memphis, Tennessee, was charged with first-offense driving under the influence of alcohol, having an open container of alcohol, and failing to obey a traffic control device, according to Gwinnett County Jail booking records. She was arrested by police in Suwanee, located approximately 30 miles northeast of Atlanta, after officers pulled over a black Mercedes-Benz for making a U-turn at a red light, reported The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Police Report
According to the police report obtained by the newspaper, the officer asked Woods about her alcohol consumption, to which she responded that it did not matter and she was fit to drive. The officer noted that Woods' eyes appeared bloodshot, and she had difficulty finishing her thoughts. She also refused to take a breathalyzer test.
Woods was booked into the jail at 6:12 a.m. Tuesday and was released at 9:41 a.m. the same day. The jail records do not indicate whether Woods has legal representation.
