Her nomination comes after President Biden withdrew from the race and endorsed her. This shift in the Democratic Party leadership has generated considerable attention and support.

In addition to Harris, a long list of esteemed speakers is scheduled to address the convention, including Senators Bob Casey of Pennsylvania and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin. On the other hand, North Carolina, a state won by Mr. Trump in both elections, is showing signs of leaning towards Ms. Harris, as indicated by a recent poll from The New York Times and Siena College.
