Homeless man allegedly stabs friend with Samurai sword over Xbox console

The Daytona Beach Police Department is pursuing a homeless man, Walter Grimes, after he purportedly stabbed his friend multiple times with a Samurai sword during a dispute over an Xbox gaming console. The incident occurred on the 1000 block of South Beach Street, where the victim was found bleeding near the front door.

History of prior arrests

Grimes, who has a history of prior arrests, is wanted for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Witnesses reported hearing screaming from inside the apartment, and upon investigating, they found the victim pointing at the sword, saying, "Walter stabbed me." The victim sustained non-life-threatening lacerations and was treated at a local hospital.
