A couple's honeymoon at a well-known all-inclusive resort turned out to be a disappointing experience. They had paid a substantial amount for a three-day stay at the Sandals Royal Bahamian but described it as far from relaxing.
The wife, identified as Sam Doll on social media, vented her frustration on TikTok, where she shared that the resort staff constantly pressured them to spend more on various add-ons such as photo packages and excursions. This video quickly gained popularity, accumulating over 6 million views in a short time.
Describing the staff's behavior as intrusive, Sam also criticized the resort's no-tipping policy, suggesting that this might have motivated the relentless up-selling tactics. Despite the couple's efforts to avoid further sales pitches, she stated that the staff disregarded their privacy by ignoring the "do not disturb" sign on their door.
The couple's subsequent attempts to communicate their concerns to Sandals have not yielded any response. Sam recommended that the resort reconsider its tipping policy and discourage staff from persistently approaching guests.
While Sandals has not yet responded to the publication's request for comment, Sam indicated that she is unlikely to revisit any Sandals Resort in the future. Nevertheless, she has received recommendations from other patrons for alternative all-inclusive Caribbean vacation spots.
