
Hospital Shooting in Troy, Michigan: Suspect on the Run
A coworker shot a 25-year-old man at a Michigan hospital; the victim is stable, and police are searching for the suspect.

A shooting at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital in Michigan has left one person injured and authorities searching for the suspect.
According to a statement from the Troy Police Department, the victim, identified as a 25-year-old man from Troy, was shot twice in the arm but is currently in stable condition.
The Suspect and the Incident
Police have confirmed that the suspect is a coworker known to the victim. The victim was able to identify the suspect to the authorities. It is believed that the shooting was an isolated incident, and the suspect is not currently at the hospital.
A massive police presence, including officers from two nearby counties and the Michigan State Police, can be seen outside the hospital as they conduct a floor-by-floor search for the suspect.
Hospital Response and Lockdown
Corewell Health issued a statement indicating that the hospital is on lockdown out of an abundance of caution. Patients with scheduled services have been advised not to come to the hospital at this time and can contact their respective departments directly.
"One victim is in the emergency department for medical treatment," the statement read. "No other information is available at this time."
