House Ethics Committee continues to examine allegations against Matt Gaetz
House Ethics Committee continues reviewing allegations against Rep. Matt Gaetz, including sexual misconduct and improper conduct, despite his denial and exoneration claims.

WASHINGTON - The House Ethics Committee announced on Tuesday that it is continuing to investigate several allegations against Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla. These allegations include claims of sexual misconduct, illegal drug use, accepting improper gifts, providing special privileges, and obstructing government investigations.
Despite these allegations, Gaetz, a prominent ally of Donald Trump, has consistently denied any wrongdoing. He emphasized in a social media post on Monday that previous Ethics investigations have resulted in his exoneration.
Allegations Not Pursued
The House Ethics Committee, however, will not pursue allegations related to sharing inappropriate content on the House floor, misusing state identification records, converting campaign funds for personal use, or accepting bribes or improper gratuities.
Furthermore, Gaetz accused former Speaker Kevin McCarthy and his allies of seeking retribution against him, referring to the situation as "Soviet." He suggested that McCarthy's actions were motivated by Gaetz's efforts to ban Congressional stock trading and his unwavering commitment to representing the people of Northwest Florida.
