House Freedom Caucus Chairman Accused of Betraying Trump by Marjorie Taylor Greene
Marjorie Taylor Greene criticized Virginia's Representative Bob Good as a traitor to Trump, while John J. McGuire is endorsed by Greene.

Last week, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia made a bold entrance in south-central Virginia, adorned in “Trump 2024” decals. She accused Representative Bob Good of Virginia, chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, of betraying former President Donald J. Trump. Greene emphasized the need for loyalists and criticized Good for endorsing another candidate, stating that he had "kicked Trump when he was down."
Challenger for the Republican Nomination
State senator and former Navy SEAL, John J. McGuire, is challenging Mr. Good for the Republican nomination, with the election set for Tuesday. McGuire, a firm believer in the "Stop the Steal" movement, attended the rally at the Ellipse on Jan. 6, 2021. Greene rallied behind McGuire, declaring him as the true MAGA and a loyal supporter of Trump.
The following evening, Stephen K. Bannon, a former Trump adviser, showed his support for Mr. Good, providing him with a significant boost in credibility within the MAGA movement. This support becomes crucial as Mr. Trump has endorsed Good's opponent, adding complexity to the power struggle within the party.
