In a tragic turn of events, human remains were discovered inside a truck submerged in Weiss Lake in east Alabama.

The Cherokee County Coroner, Paul McDonald, confirmed that the recovered remains belonged to Oscar Lewis King, a 74-year-old man who had been missing for over a decade.

It was determined that King accidentally drove into the water off the boat ramp located at Chesnut Bay Resort near Leesburg. Foul play is not suspected in King’s death, according to Sheriff Jeff Shaver.
