The incident, which occurred in March 2021, involved the tragic deaths of four individuals, including a child, stemming from a dispute between Halfacre and his girlfriend over a coronavirus stimulus check. This marks a significant development in the case that has deeply unsettled the local community.
After admitting to four counts of murder and one count of attempted murder in June, Halfacre, the perpetrator of this senseless act, was met with the full force of the law.
The sentencing, carried out by Judge Jeffrey Marchal of Marion Superior Court, entailed two consecutive 57-year prison terms for the murder charges and an additional 31-year term for the attempted murder charge, as documented in court records.
