Iowa Man Arrested for Role in Creating and Sharing Brutal Animal Crush Videos
Iowa man arrested for creating and sharing videos of animal abuse, with others charged for similar offenses.

An Iowa man has been apprehended for his involvement in the production and dissemination of horrifying "animal crush" videos, as revealed by federal prosecutors. The videos depicted the egregious torture, sexual abuse, and killing of monkeys in the most sadistic manner. The arrested individual, identified as Philip Colt Moss, aged 41, was taken into custody on August 8. He has been formally charged in the U.S. District Court in Cincinnati. The charges against him include conspiring to create and distribute the videos, as well as directly distributing the videos. These details were disclosed in the indictment, which was unsealed on a Friday.
Co-conspirators and Further Revelations
The indictment also implicated two other individuals in connection to the heinous crime. Specifically, Nicholas T. Dryden from Ohio, and Giancarlo Morelli from New Jersey, were previously charged in June with offenses identical to those of Mr. Moss. Notably, Mr. Dryden, as per prosecutors, engaged in alarming conduct by remunerating a minor in Indonesia to film the barbaric videos. Moreover, in addition to the charges related to the animal crush videos, he also faces allegations of creating said videos, as well as producing, distributing, and receiving visual depictions of children being sexually abused. This is due to the fact that a minor was compensated to partake in the abuse inflicted upon the monkeys. The Department of Justice underscored the severity of these charges.
