Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad, along with Syria's interior minister, strongly condemned the "atrocious terrorist attack" and expressed condolences for those who lost their lives. Iran's ambassador to Syria confirmed that the strike targeted a consular building in the embassy compound, with his residence occupying the top two floors.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran stated that the strike resulted in the deaths of seven Iranian military advisers, including a senior commander in its Quds Force, Mohammad Reza Zahedi.
