Israeli Military's Statement
The Israeli military, in a statement after the strike, accused Hamas of intentionally placing its infrastructure and operating from within civilian areas in violation of international law. The military emphasized that this action puts the lives of Gazan civilians at risk.
Previous Attack on School Complex
This attack follows a strike on a similar school complex in Nuseirat the day before, where displaced civilians had taken shelter. According to Gazan health authorities, women and children were among those killed in the previous strike.
