Jenna Ellis Reaches Cooperation Deal with Arizona in Trump Election Fraud Case
Jenna Ellis, Trump’s former adviser, cooperated with Arizona prosecutors, leading to dropped charges, as part of an investigation into election interference.

Jenna Ellis, a former legal adviser for Donald Trump's 2020 presidential campaign, has reached a cooperation agreement with Arizona prosecutors
The Arizona Attorney General, Kris Mayes, has agreed to drop nine felony charges against Ellis in exchange for her cooperation in the investigation into the alleged attempts to subvert President Biden's 2020 election victory in the state. The charges against her included fraud, forgery, and conspiracy, which could have resulted in severe penalties if convicted.
The cooperation agreement represents a significant breakthrough in the case, as it is expected to provide critical insights into the alleged efforts to overturn the election results in Arizona. Mayes described Ellis' cooperation as "invaluable" and stated that it would greatly aid the state in proving its case in court. As part of the agreement, Ellis has agreed to testify against other defendants and provide prosecutors with materials related to the alleged scheme.
Details of the Alleged Scheme
According to the indictment, Ellis and several Trump allies allegedly met on December 14, 2020, to sign a certificate claiming to affirm Trump as the winner of the state, even though Biden had won by more than 10,000 votes. This fraudulent document was reportedly submitted to Congress as part of a broader conspiracy to challenge Biden's win when lawmakers gathered on January 6, 2021.
Ellis is one of the 17 defendants charged in the case, including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows. All of the defendants have pleaded not guilty to the charges. The indictment against them reflects the serious nature of the allegations and the potential consequences they may face if convicted.
Jenna Ellis's Legal Troubles
In addition to the Arizona case, Ellis has faced legal troubles in a separate election case in Georgia. She pleaded guilty in October in the Georgia election case and was sentenced to five years of probation. As part of her plea deal, she also agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in that case. During her court appearance in October, Ellis expressed her remorse for her actions and acknowledged her failure to exercise due diligence in the frenetic pace of challenging the election results in multiple states, including Georgia.
The cooperation agreement between Jenna Ellis and Arizona prosecutors marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the alleged efforts to subvert the 2020 election results. Ellis's cooperation is expected to provide crucial insights and evidence that will aid the state's case in court. The gravity of the allegations and the potential consequences for the defendants involved highlight the serious nature of the attempts to overturn the election results in Arizona and other states.
