Judge dismisses sexual assault lawsuit against Aerosmith's Steven Tyler

a lawsuit dismissed
A lawsuit alleging sexual assault by Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler nearly 50 years ago has been dismissed by a U.S. judge. The lawsuit, filed by former teenage model Jeanne Bellino, claimed that Tyler assaulted her twice in one day in 1975, when she was 17. However, the Manhattan District judge ruled that Bellino had waited too long to sue the 75-year-old rock star. Tyler has denied the allegations. Bellino claimed she met Tyler in Manhattan and accused him of pushing her into a phone booth and later assaulting her at the Warwick Hotel. The judge concluded that Bellino did not meet the criteria for pursuing claims beyond the statute of limitations. This decision comes after Tyler faced a separate lawsuit in Los Angeles, where another woman, Julia Misley, accused him of assaulting her in 1973, when she was 16. The same law firm represented both Bellino and Misley in their cases. Tyler's lawyer expressed gratitude for the ruling, while Bellino's lawyer did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
