Kendrick Lamar and SZA Set to Electrify Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans

On February 9, superstar Kendrick Lamar will share the Super Bowl halftime stage with the talented multi-Grammy winner SZA at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Lamar and Apple Music unveiled a thrilling preview of their collaboration, featuring Lamar walking on the football field before SZA playfully splashed the rapper from behind.

Past Collaborations and New Adventures

SZA and Lamar have a history of successful collaborations, with SZA being Lamar's former Top Dawg Entertainment labelmate. She contributed to his recent album “GNX”, being featured on tracks like “Gloria” and “Luther,” which sampled vocals from Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn.T he duo have previously captivated audiences with the Oscar-nominated hits “All the Stars” and “Doves in the Wind.”

Joint Tour and Grammy Nominations

This spring and summer, Kendrick Lamar and SZA will also embark on a 19-city North American tour, commencing on April 19 in Minneapolis and wrapping up on June 18 in Washington, D.C.

As for SZA, she enters the Grammy Awards on February 2 with two nominations for the single “Saturn” in the best R&B song and R&B performance categories. With four Grammy wins to her name, SZA continues to solidify her status as a leading force in the music industry.

Kendrick Lamar is no stranger to awards and nominations, entering the upcoming Grammy show with seven nominations, including for “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin, as well as “Not Like Us,” which is notably in the running for song and record of the year. Co-executive producers Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins will oversee the halftime show, ensuring a spectacular performance. The creative direction of Lamar's performance will be masterminded by pgLang, a creative company co-founded by Lamar and Dave Free, who has previously directed the rapper’s music videos.

Last year, Usher's halftime show was a dazzling affair, featuring guest appearances from H.E.R., Jermaine Dupri, Lil Jon, Ludacris, and Alicia Keys.
