Founder of Cancer Awareness Nonprofit CoppaFeel, Kris Hallenga, Dies at 38 from Breast Cancer
Kris Hallenga, diagnosed with advanced breast cancer at 23, dedicated her life to educating about early detection before passing away at 38.
When Kris Hallenga was diagnosed at 23 with Stage 4 breast cancer, she was filled with questions and determination to make a difference. Her own lack of awareness about the risk of breast cancer at a young age inspired her to educate others about the importance of early detection.
Empowering Others through Education
Inspired by her own experience, Kris dedicated the next 15 years of her life to educating young people about early detection through her nonprofit organization, CoppaFeel. Her mission was to ensure that others didn't remain uninformed about the risks and signs of breast cancer, especially at a young age.
A Lasting Impact
Tragically, on Monday, it was announced that Kris Hallenga had passed away at the age of 38, at her home in Cornwall, England, after battling breast cancer. Despite her own struggles, Kris's legacy will live on through the countless lives she has impacted and the awareness she has raised about early detection.
“Survival was never enough”, she once said during a publicity tour in 2021. Kris Hallenga's unwavering determination to make the most out of life, even in the face of adversity, will continue to inspire many in the years to come.
