In the wake of an inmate's death and accusations of unsanitary conditions, three officials have resigned from their positions at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia. The inmate's family claimed that he was housed in a cell infested with insects and exposed to unsanitary conditions. As a result, the chief jailer and two assistant chief jailers submitted their resignations, requested by Sheriff Patrick "Pat" Labat. Labat expressed the need for significant changes at the facility. The family is demanding a criminal investigation into the inmate's death and the construction of a new facility.
