Left-leaning Protesters Prepare to March Against Republicans at Milwaukee Convention

As the Republican National Convention kicks off in Milwaukee, a sizable gathering of left-leaning protesters is expected to make their voices heard.

More than 120 groups have united to form the Coalition to March on the R.N.C. 2024. Their efforts have drawn the support of thousands of individuals who are set to march and rally against the Republicans’ platform and their nominee, Donald J. Trump.

Anticipated Turnout

Organizers anticipate a turnout of up to 5,000 individuals who will take to the streets of downtown Milwaukee on Monday. This substantial number underscores the intensity and commitment of the opposition.

In light of recent questions about President Biden’s age and acuity, organizers have observed a significant surge in interest and intensity in the protests. "With all the developments with Biden, that makes Trump a much more imminent threat, and that’s going to increase our numbers," said Omar Flores, a protest coalition leader. "People see the urgency in taking this on."
