BT has agreed to sell the iconic BT Tower in London to developer MCR Hotels for £275 million. Once an important piece of network infrastructure, the tower opened as the Post Office tower in 1965. MCR Hotels plans to preserve it and develop it into an iconic hotel. CEO Tyler Morse stated that the group will work on proposals to tell its story.
The BT Tower, originally known as the Post Office Tower, has stood as a symbol of London's skyline for over half a century. Following the recent agreement with MCR Hotels, the tower is set to undergo a transformation, transitioning from a communications hub to a luxury hotel.
