Mafia hitman Fotios Geas sentenced to 25 years for murder in 2018

Fotios Geas, a convicted Mafia hitman, was serving life in a federal prison in West Virginia when he, along with two accomplices, murdered Boston crime boss James (Whitey) Bulger. Geas, 57, recently received an additional 25 years in prison for the 2018 murder. The elderly Bulger, an F.B.I. informant, was bludgeoned to death just 12 hours after being transferred to the prison. At a hearing in U.S. District Court in Clarksburg, W.Va., Geas, an associate of the Genovese crime family, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and assault causing serious bodily injury.
