Following the crash, the Powell County Search and Rescue teams swiftly responded to the scene after receiving a report about a utility task vehicle accident at the park. The woman, who was trapped in the vehicle, managed to alert emergency services by placing a distress call to 911. Tragically, the man had been ejected from the vehicle during the incident.
Rescue Efforts
Upon locating the crash site, multiple crews from various agencies, as well as civilian volunteers, initiated a thorough search and subsequently established several rope systems to extricate the injured woman from the vehicle. Despite the valiant rescue attempts, the man was regrettably pronounced dead at the scene.
