Man Shot in Pittsburgh's Garfield Neighborhood, Police Investigation Underway

Pittsburgh police investigate a shooting in Garfield. A man was shot in a vehicle, found in stable condition at the hospital. No arrests.

The Pittsburgh police started an investigation following a shooting incident that occurred in the Garfield neighborhood. According to a police spokesperson, law enforcement officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Fairmount Street at approximately 10:40 p.m. in response to reports of gunfire in the area.

Upon arrival at the scene, the officers discovered shell casings and were informed that a man had sustained gunshot wounds while inside a vehicle. Subsequently, the injured man had left the scene and proceeded to the nearest hospital in search of medical treatment.

Condition of the Victim

The police spokesperson revealed that upon reaching the hospital, officers located the victim, who had been shot in the back. Fortunately, he is reported to be in stable condition, as confirmed by medical personnel.

Following the incident, the man's vehicle was towed for further processing as part of the investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the police spokesperson stated that the investigation is ongoing.
