A road rage incident on Sunday afternoon in Massachusetts has led to a man facing multiple criminal charges after his erratic behavior put the lives of pedestrians and police officers in danger. Alan Eugene Stec, aged 61 and hailing from East Bridgewater, is set to appear in Brockton District Court on Monday to answer to a series of serious charges, as detailed by East Bridgewater Police Chief Michael Jenkins.

Stec is facing a total of several charges, including two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a child under 14, assault with a dangerous weapon, malicious destruction of property under $1,200, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, failure to stop for police, three counts of assault and battery on a police officer, three counts of assault and battery, marked lanes violation, and failure to stop or yield. These charges reflect the gravity of the situation and the potential danger Stec posed to the community.
Details of the Incident
On Sunday, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a road rage incident in the vicinity of 555 Washington Street in East Bridgewater shortly after noon. The investigation revealed that Stec had intentionally struck another vehicle and was attempting to hit multiple pedestrians with his car. Upon arrival, the officers found Stec behind the wheel of a damaged vehicle and witnessed him narrowly avoid colliding with a police cruiser while driving onto a lawn and into a backyard. Despite repeated orders to stop, Stec refused to comply and eventually attempted to flee on foot. An officer was forced to deploy his taser to apprehend Stec, who further displayed aggressive behavior by spitting on the officers during his arrest. He is currently being held on $250,000 bail pending his arraignment.
